About the Team

The program is delivered by people who do this work.

Digital Edge is SurgeU's digital implementation program for real estate students, and it runs on people rather than on a platform alone. Behind the website, the marketing foundation, and the training is a team of marketing consultants, coaches, and instructors with experience in real estate, lead generation, and teaching people how to operate what has been built. This page introduces the people behind Digital Edge and the experience they bring to the program.

The team's role in Digital Edge

What the team is actually responsible for.

Digital Edge is set up for you and developed with you, and the team is what makes both halves of that possible.

  • The technical and coordinating work

The technical and coordinating work is carried by the team rather than left to you. Your website and the technical setup included in your enrollment are handled, the pieces are brought together so they are designed to work as one operation, and the direction is guided at each stage so you have clarity about what comes next.

  • The consulting and coaching side

The consulting and coaching side is where the work becomes specific to the student's business. Across the team, Digital Edge brings experience in real estate investing, residential property analysis, online marketing, lead generation, coaching, and instruction. That range helps keep the guidance grounded in the practical realities of building and marketing a real estate business.

  • The instruction and program side

The instruction and program side is what keeps the work moving after the setup is complete. Training explains what has been built and how to use it, while program management helps keep the stages connected. The combination is deliberate. Experience in real estate makes the advice relevant, experience in marketing makes it useful, and experience in teaching makes it something you can act on.

The Team

Four people, one program.

Each member of the team brings a different part of the picture, from lead generation and search to property valuation, investor coaching, and classroom instruction. What they share is time spent with real estate businesses rather than with marketing in the abstract.

  • Estus Taylor, Marketing Consultant and Coach

    Estus Taylor

    Marketing Consultant and Coach

Estus Taylor began his career in sales training, later became a pastor, and eventually moved into real estate. Teaching has been the constant across all three. He is a speaker, trainer, and real estate investor, and whether the subject is comping houses, wholesaling, or the principles of marketing, his interest is in helping people grow in both knowledge and experience so they can reach the goals they have set for themselves.

An East Coast kid doing life out West, Estus lives, pastors, and invests in real estate in San Diego, California, where he is a husband and a father of three.

  • Mike Haas, Marketing Consultant and Coach

    Mike Haas

    Marketing Consultant and Coach

Mike Haas has built a coaching career working with hundreds of real estate entrepreneurs. His coaching approach centers on discussing objectives, building strategy, and supporting implementation. His expertise is in SEO, digital marketing, and social media lead-generation strategy, which covers much of how an investor gets found and contacted online.

Before coaching, he spent 12 years with a large residential mortgage company as an analyst, an appraiser, and an inspector. That background informs the perspective he brings to residential property and investor marketing.

  • Winston Widdes, Marketing Consultant and Coach

    Winston Widdes

    Marketing Consultant and Coach

Winston Widdes grew up around construction and development in a family that built and invested, including his grandparents' construction company in Los Angeles. He learned to flip houses alongside a mentor in San Diego, earned his real estate license in 2005, and sold his first house within two weeks, then turned toward buying and holding property and working with real estate investors.

He later spent five and a half years consulting thousands of real estate investors about their internet marketing. That experience strengthened his interest in helping investors market their businesses online and work more effectively with real estate professionals. Winston and his family own real estate in Pennsylvania, California, and Texas, and they moved from San Diego to the Dallas area in 2022 with their two sons.

  • Ayman Abifaker, Program Manager and Real Estate Instructor

    Ayman Abifaker

Program Manager and Real Estate Instructor

Ayman Abifaker brings extensive marketing experience across a range of industries to his work as Program Manager and Real Estate Instructor. His focus is on putting proven marketing strategies and systems in place, and his expertise spans lead generation, direct mail campaigns, content creation, social media management, email marketing, and cultivating the buyer and agent relationships a real estate business depends on. He follows industry trends and emerging technology closely, and he works from data, adjusting campaigns based on what the results show rather than on assumption.

Outside of work, Ayman is a dedicated sports follower across the NFL, MLB, the NBA, and European soccer, and his time goes to his wife, his two sons, and a close circle of family and friends.

How the team and the student work together

Set up for you, developed with you.

The team matters because the technical work and coordination are carried for you, while the decisions that define your business are made with you.

The team handles the heavy technical setup and coordination, and brings the pieces together so they are designed to operate as one system. You provide your business information, make the branding decisions, take part in the training, and act in your market. That participation helps ensure the result reflects your business and gives you the context to use what has been built. It is also why the program is built around conversation and instruction instead of a finished file handed over at the end.

The clearest way to understand the program is to talk with someone about it.

A consultation is where the program becomes specific to your situation. You will walk through what Digital Edge is, where your business currently stands, what your program may include, pricing and enrollment options, and the enrollment path that may fit. If you would rather see how the program is delivered first, you can review the full process on the How It Works page.
